Metacam Oral Suspension for Dogs

Indication:

Metacam Oral Suspension is indicated for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs.

Dosage and Administration:

• Initial Treatment:

  • A single dose of 0.2 mg meloxicam/kg body weight on the first day.

  • Continue once daily (24-hour intervals) at a maintenance dose of 0.1 mg meloxicam/kg body weight.

• Long-Term Treatment:

  • Once clinical response has been observed (typically after ≥ 4 days), the dose of Metacam can be adjusted to the lowest effective dose, depending on the severity of pain and inflammation, as it may vary over time.

• Note:

  • Accuracy in dosing is crucial. Shake the bottle well before use.

  • The suspension can be administered orally, either mixed with food or directly into the mouth.
