COMPOSITION: Silybin, phospholipid complex* 70 mg; SAMe (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine, disulfate tosylate) 50 mg; DL-Methionine 150 mg; L(+)-Choline bitartrate 10 mg; Vitamin E acetate 5 mg; Excipients q.s. 1000 mg.
*Corresponds to 21 mg of silybin per tablet.
INDICATIONS: Hepatoprotective dietary supplement. It also acts as a cholagogue, choleretic and promotes liver metabolism. As a supplement in acute or chronic hepatitis and general liver disorders. For the prevention of fatty liver.
It is also useful as a support supplement in cholangiohepatitis and when vomiting of hepatic origin is observed. To protect the liver in acute and chronic poisoning of any origin and when antiepileptic medication, chemotherapy, oral antifungal or other hepatotoxic drugs are administered. It can also be used as a supplement in the treatment of Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Flavoured tablets are administered orally, preferably on an empty stomach and at least 1 hour before food.
Dogs: 1 tablet every 10 kg/day (recommended dose).
Cats: 2-5 kg: ¼ tablet/day. 5 kg or more: ½ tablet/day.
The dose to be administered may be adjusted according to the individual case, if necessary and at the discretion of the attending veterinarian. Consider that an excessive increase in the amount of methionine administered may result in urinary acidification. The duration of treatment will be at least 10 days. In the case of use for prolonged periods, the amount to be administered may be reduced by half as a maintenance dose.
